Dry Factor® is a name for a whole family of laminated polyurethane membranes, a combination of a PU membrane coated with a microporous structure.  Polyurethane has a high resistance to water penetrating it in liquid form, but allows it to pass through as a vapor. Red Fox uses several variations of this construction that allow different degrees of water resistance with simultaneous air permeability for a practical balance of waterproofness with breathability.

  • Dry Factor® 20000: Water resistant to 20,000 mm pressure ⋄ Vapor penetration: over 10,000 g/m2/24 hours
  • Dry Factor® 10000: Water resistant to 10,000 mm pressure ⋄ Vapor penetration: over 5,000 g/m2/24 hours
  • Dry Factor® 5000: Water resistant to 5,000 mm pressure ⋄ Vapor penetration: over 5,000 g/m2/24 hours
  • Dry Factor® 3000: Water resistant to 3,000 mm pressure ⋄ Vapor penetration: over 3,000 g/m2/24 hours
